Working near live antennas? These 2 online courses cover RF hazard awareness and the PPE that goes with it — built to OSHA standards, about an hour each, certificate the same day.

Radio-frequency energy is invisible, and rooftops and towers rarely tell you what is transmitting. RF Hazard Communication teaches how RF exposure works, what exposure limits mean in practice, how signage and barriers are used, and what to do when a work position sits inside a controlled zone. PPE for Telecommunications adds the equipment side: personal RF monitors, protective gear, and inspection habits for the kit a tower crew lives in.

The courses are $35 and $40, run 1–1.5 hours, and are fully self-paced on any device. Pass the short test (free retakes) and download a certificate of completion the same day, with a unique code employers and site owners verify online. RF awareness is one of the first line items on carrier site-access matrices, so keeping these certificates current — they are valid for two years — saves headaches at the gate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs RF awareness training?

Anyone who works near transmitting antennas: tower climbers, ground crews, rooftop HVAC and electrical contractors, riggers and inspectors. If your work puts you inside an RF-controlled area, employers expect documented awareness training.

Is this an official OSHA RF certification?

OSHA does not certify RF training providers. Our courses are built to OSHA standards and aligned with industry practice; you receive a certificate of completion with online verification, and acceptance is determined by the employer or site owner.

Does the course include an RF monitor?

No — it is training, not hardware. PPE for Telecommunications covers how personal RF monitors are used and checked; your employer supplies calibrated monitors on site.

How long are the certificates valid?

Two years, verifiable online by unique code the whole time.
