RF & wireless technician training requirements
Also called: Cell site tech, DAS and small cell tech, wireless installer
Rooftops, equipment rooms, DAS closets and the occasional monopole. The training list for a wireless tech is shorter than a climber’s — but RF comes first.

Training the rules spell out. The citation is next to each one — look it up, it’s all public.
RF awareness
FCC 47 CFR 1.1310, OSHA 1910.97You work where exposure can pass public limits. The FCC’s occupational limits apply only to people who know it’s there.
Fall protection (rooftops)

Ladders
OSHA 1926.1060, 1910.30Most rooftop access is a fixed or extension ladder.
First aid & CPR
OSHA 1910.268(c)(3), 1910.151(b)The telecom standard lists first-aid training among what employers must provide, and with no clinic nearby OSHA wants a trained first-aider on hand.
Commonly required by employers
Not always in the regulation, but contractors, carriers and GCs ask for it before you get on site.
